Raining Season

The weather is getting cooler... streets are wet... water pouring from the sky... I appreciate the umbrella most on a day like this.

Walking between the greens, the toads are making music. It seems that you can only hear their music on raining days. Is it because they are singing about rain? Or because they are crying for cold?

Putting on my addidas cover shoes for a test, I paced on the streets. My socks inside are wet, the shoes are not waterproof as it looks. Hmm... need to buy another pair for abroad. That place rains a lot too... Also pouring snow...

Donation

A cute looking guy came to me, asked me for $10 donation. I looked at him with suspicious eyes. I am most willing to help the less fortunate but sorry I doubted the charity organisations these days. I have too many bad experiences with them.

Besides the NKF scandal, I was fooled by other organisations too in the past. They were so convincing, showing the licence they had, the ID pass and some documents. Then they attracted you with the lucky draws or discount coupons etc. Initially, I didn't care about all these attractions. I donated my money for charity, not for other purposes.

Then one day, out of curiosity, flapping to the lucky draw date on the back of the donation coupon, I realised the date had expired long before. I wondered if the volunteer had cheated the organisation by re-used the expired donation coupon, sold it and keep the money for herself? I hate being cheated, why must she lied to me about lucky draw that no longer exists?

There was a website printed on the coupon, I surfed the site but it doesn't exist as well. Isn't it obvious? I was cheated by a organisation that in the first place doesn't live at all.

My second experience was a friend of mine brought a similar charity coupon that came with food discounts. So we went to the restaurant and were astonished to find the restaurant closed down. And we had travelled a great distance for that! It really makes some sense that these people are selling out-of-date coupons or "dead" coupons.

Have you also noticed that sometimes you saw a little note in the coupon that said 30% of the proceeds go to XXX home while the rest goes to building of worship places and schools? Why do these volunteers said "you are donating to the needy", giving the impression that you are giving 100% to the home?

These people acted like they were angels from heaven, coming down to help these less fortunates. And they cheated you by giving inaccurate information. I hated being cheated by these "angels".

What happened about the cute guy? I was looking at the licence and the document hard. Then he was saying "oh O oh O oh O". I am not sure if he was saying this because he was afraid that I might find some crime clues or he saw a security guard walking to his direction. He was chased away by the guard before I could do any transaction. Lucky? If he wants to cheat me... Oh yes, I saw him again in another shopping area few hours later but he was no longer asking for donation. Isn't it weird?

He shouldn't stop and try harder to get more money if it is for charity. Don't you think so? It is all these culprits that cause such mistrust on the charity organisations.

Chameleon Again

I was talking about chameleon yesterday and today I saw one. And it was a horrible incident... Normally, I am very careful on the road, watching my steps as I walk. But I guessed today, at that point of time was an exception. There were too much thoughts running in my head and I stepped on something. It was a funny feeling like stepping on a hard sponge.

I heard some screams around and this auntie was murmuring to herself about something bad. I thought I stepped on a pool of shit, I turned around and saw a Chameleon lying on the ground, his organs were squeezed out from his mouth. Oh no, I think I did it. Yucks!

It was not done on purpose and I don't know why the lizard was there in the first place. Can't it see there were so many people walking along and should avoid the streets?

I told the anutie "Oh no, I stepped on the lizard!" From a distance, I heard a little boy, "She stepped on it!" I whisked away from the scene as quickly as possible, just like a murderer.

I still can't get over the sensation of stepping on a lizard. I feel so sick thinking about it. Oh no... and I was in my new shoes...

(I know this is disgusting, I think the worst part is stepping on a snail because you can hear the shell cracked, like breaking its entire "bones".)

The Ugly Working World

Despite working for 5 years already, I am still not used to the ugly working world. I still can't accept the fact that most people worn a mask to office. They seemed to be great friends, shared many things with you, treated you, joked with you etc. But once you worked with them, they turned 360 degrees.

I heard about this man, who agreed with the project manager totally in the meeting room and objected what others said. But once the development manager came in and sought his advice, he refuted what the project manager said. I can't believe this man was acting like a Chameleon. Poor project manager had to swallow his saliva hard and was so helpless.

Sigh... What a ugly world...

Driving Licence

Dad is buying a new car and I regretted for not taking driving lessons. Since I don't forseen myself buying a car, I don't find the need to learn it. I have seen many who learned but never got the chance to drive and their skills turned rusty. What is the point of paying for a licence when you have no chance to practice and maybe never at all? Or at the end of the day, you intend not to drive because you think you cannot handle.

I guessed I consider too much.I know how handy it is especially during my US trip. You see, you got to drive when you are in US. It is not just cheaper but convenient too.You would never see a man walking on the road, definitely not in the state that I went.I might have missed out the fun driving on long winding road, overseeing countryside... Anyway,I was lucky to have colleagues who were driving and I took a nap in the backseat.Hee...

Seems like having a licence is important to me now.My life has changed and I have to be more independent than previously. However, with a bigger plan coming now, I have to forgo my driving until I come back at last.
